Isoflex is a combination of Mat Pilates, Yoga, functional movement and strength training exercises choreographed to music and breathing.
The 60-minute classes are fun, effective and efficient, providing you with great variety so you always feel good and look forward to the next class.

Isoflex makes use of props such as Therabands, medicine balls, sticks, stability balls, yoga blocks, light weights and foam rollers to add resistance and target specific goals.
You will see the greatest impact if you attend the 2 different programs that I create every week on specific days and times.

Programme 1 is presented on Mondays and Tuesdays and Programme 2 is presented on Wednesdays and Thursdays.  I suggest you attend either the Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday slot.

The programmes can dramatically transform the way your body feels, looks and performs when doing both programmes every week. If you would like to attend more classes, or one-on-one sessions, or if the suggested days and timeslots do not suit you, please pop me an email or call me to discuss.

In 1996, I was sitting in my anatomy class when our lecturer discussed an article about someone who had a strong, healthy heart, but their body was too weak to lift themselves out of their bath. I will never forget that day – it was the beginning of my dream of helping people to become strong and functional.

Hi, I’m Colleen and I can’t wait to help you feel fit, confident and empowered to love yourself, your body and what it can do.

If, like me, you enjoy a wide variety of movement, but get bored with sticking to only one technique – you’ll love my classes. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Movement Science and have studied a wide range of the world’s most popular disciplines, including the Alexander Technique, the Feldenkrais Method, Pilates, Yoga and Callanetics, to name a few. My 60-minute exercise programmes combine all of the best elements from this wide range of disciplines, choreographed to energising music and healthy breathing.

I call my classes Isoflex – and I’ve taught and evolved them since 1999 to hundreds of students – from teenagers, pregnant ladies, new mothers, athletes and senior citizens – my oldest student being 82 years young! Nothing makes me more excited than seeing people grow in physical strength, flexibility, body awareness and overall health!

The last two decades have been a journey of small beginnings. I was encouraged by my amazing husband 22 years to ‘go it alone’ and start my own studio – which grew, and grew – eventually necessitating that we expand our home to accommodate larger classes.

Having moved to remarkably beautiful New Zealand in 2019 from Pretoria, South Africa, together with my husband, 18-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son – it’s time for me to take another leap of faith and continue my passion … with you.

I’m excited to be heading up Isoflex in New Zealand – and I can’t wait to meet and encourage you.
